As a child she had the good fortune to be surrounded by entrepreneurial parents and relatives who gave her the opportunity to develop a "mini-business" at the age of eight.

Her educational background, focused on art, psychology and journalism, enriched her talent to create techniques for building extremely successful corporations with "nanosecond-like" speed. To her credit, the entrepreneurial enterprises she has spawned range from a multimillion dollar publishing company to an international marketing, PR and design firm."

Based in the Tampa Bay area since 1975, Jewel McKeon has been actively involved in the community with such organizations as: Tourist Development Council, Pinellas Economic Development Council, first female President of the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Rotarian Community Service Chair, Past President - Leads of Countryside, Charter Member, Past President - NAWBO of Tampa Bay, NAWBO National Corporate & Economic Development Council, Kiwanis Club Honoree for Outstanding Contribution to Community Downtown Redevelopment, 2004 National Business Woman of the Year, 2003 Florida Business Woman of the Year, Tampa Bay Outstanding Business Women (1997-2000), recipient of the prestigious Teal Heart Award for Excellence in Business (1999), Winner of the Woman of Achievement award (2001), Chair Safety Harbor Planning & Zoning Board to mention a few.
